Young
people today live in a hectic, stressful
and confusing world. Here at WUC we are
committed to creating a relaxed environment
of acceptance, mutual respect and Christian
love as we enjoy exploring all that God's
world has to offer.

The
past year has brought us even closer together.
We have formed friendships and memories
that will last a lifetime. In addition to
our Annual Halloween Food Drive, the youth
hosted a large Halloweensleepover and spooky
dance, went Christmas Carolling at Lakeridge
Hospital, took over a Sunday Worship Service,
competed in the Annual Iron Chef
Challenge, cooked and served spaghetti dinners
forour congregation, packed Christmas hampers,
held a Blessing of the Animals Service,
played sports and games, went camping, on
a winter retreat, and so much more! And,
as usual, Yahoo the camel and his friends
helped us make Christmas come alive for
our Christmas Eve productions.
Our
senior group is looking forward to joining
with the youth of Oshawa Presbytery in an
amazing weekend of fun, high ropes, survival
and faith at Fairhavens Retreat Centre in
January 2011, and joining with other youth
in the United Church and our community for
manyevents in the coming year
Of
course, we expect much the same, and many
things different in the coming year. Please
check this space, or contact me through
the Church office for upcoming calendars
and event information.
