Rev. Bill Service was appointed the retired supply minister at Westminster effective November 1, 2010. This was following the departure of Rev. Christopher White who was our minister for 18 years. [See the Transition at Westminster website section for further details on the current process at Westminster towards new leadership.]

Rev. Service has spent 32 years in ministry, serving churches
in Alberta, and mostly in Ontario: Quinte, Oak Ridges, Toronto, Oshawa and Port Hope. He also spent two interims in Carlisle and Elmira. Rev. Service was originally called to ministry after a long period of discernment and life experience in the world of work in Toronto and North Bay. Rev. Service and his wife Kathy have two daughters, Shannon and Heather, and a son, Jeremy. They have 2 grandchildren.

In his spare time, Rev. Service sings with the Northumberland Choir and Orchestra. He also enjoys gardening and home renovations. Although Rev. Service recently retired from the ministry, he is happy to take the supply minister position at Westminster to help us through our transition period. He can be reached through our church office and via email at wservice@westminster-uc.ca.
